THE EXPERIENCE / PROCESS

Consultation

People typically find me through one of the couples I’ve worked with, my website, social media, or on WeddingWire. Either way, I’m glad you reached out! I like to hop on a quick phone call with people to get a better understanding of what they are looking to do. From there, I make a recommendation for which package would best suit them.

For couples inquiring about a wedding date, I HIGHLY recommend you come for a consultation in my home office. We’ll pop a bottle of champagne, flip through a sample photo album, and chat about your wedding day. (It also gives you a chance to see where I currently host my viewing parties!)

Booking

Ready to book your wedding date or photo session? Awesome! For weddings, I ask for a 50% deposit and a signed contract. For portrait sessions, I ask for the full payment in advance along with a signed contract. Once this is received, the day is yours!

Planning

Once your day is booked we will work out all of the details to make sure it is perfect. My opinion is that, if we get all of the details hammered out beforehand, it makes the session much for fun and relaxed!

For weddings, we stay in touch during your engagement and set up a time 3-4 weeks before your wedding date to go over your timeline and your family photo list. Once we get all of this info finalized, I will send over your Wedding Details Packet which includes your timeline, contact info for wedding vendors, your family shot list, and suggested times for when members of your family and wedding party should be dressed and camera ready.

Engagement Session

For engagement sessions, we determine the location, time, and any theme that you may want incorporated into your shoot (ask me about my themed shoots!). I will also help with planning what you should wear, makeup suggestions, and hair styling!

When the planning is complete, we can all relax and get ready to make some magic!

The Big Day

This is the fun part! My goal is for you to look natural and relaxed with a genuine smile and connection with your partner. I do some of the traditional posed photos (I call these the “parent-approved shots”) but most of your time with me will be spent playing, laughing, and soaking up your special day.

Nervous about being in front of the camera? That’s totally normal! But know that it only takes a few minutes for the jitters to melt away. People are always pleasantly surprised at how painless (and even fun) their session is!

Receiving Photos

After your shoot, I edit your photos and gush while I put the finishing touches on them. I use photo presets that emulate traditional film so that your images are timeless and beautiful.

When the edits are complete, you’ll receive an e-mail containing everything you need to access and share your custom online photo gallery (that even works as a custom app!) After you’re done laughing, crying, and picking out your favorite images, your online gallery will help you do whatever you chose. You can download images, share them with family & friends, post them on social media, and order prints directly through your gallery.

For weddings, you get to see your photos and/or videos for the first time at your Viewing Party! We pop more bottles of champagne, eat tasty appetizers, and relive your day from start to finish. Your Viewing Party can be private with just you and your partner, or you can bring your closest family and friends along! I offer a 10% discount for any photos or extra albums that are ordered at the Viewing Party! Parents typically love these!

Albums and Prints

I love to see couples and families put their photos in an album or hang them on their walls! Your Photo Gallery has the high-resolution image files so you can print them anywhere. OR, you order prints with me! I go through each photo to make sure that it is perfect before I send them over to my printing company.

My printer creates museum-quality reproductions with archival inks and paper and they are absolutely beautiful! I personally inspect all of the prints and albums to ensure the highest quality before shipping them to you.
